Exclamation PLEASE HELP ME!! My Z is Dead!!

I just cleaned the throttle bodies and now the car is going CRAZY


the idle revs all the way to 2000 then drops to 1500 and up to 2000 and drops to 1500 and doesnt stop!!!

If I turn the AC on FULLL BLAST it kinda stops it but second i turn it off it goes away!

WTF!!!

Please help me... I tryed to throttle body reset or w/e and its not working


I have work in 30 minutes and im ****ed!!

i'm thinking you need to do the throttle calibration process. i believe we have those.

edit-didn't read whole thing. id make sure you are doing it right.

I tryed it like 6 times and its not working!!!

I cleaned a few hoses here and there but nothign major!!

Its totally revving up and then stumbling to 1500 and revving up then stumbling


Ive tryed leaving the battery unplugged like EVERYTHING!!

i pinned the TB's open while cleaning them did I ruin it??

You're not supposed to move the throttle plate when you clean them. You may have ruined your TB. What kind of noise does it make when you turn the key to On but do not start?

Sounds like it's running, thats means its not dead.

IDLE steadies with AC on hasnt anyone had this problem before?

Yup. It may not be good news for you.

But just in case:

If you've done the relearn, have you also checked to make sure that you remembered to reconnect all sensor connections and the vacuum line underneath the intake tubes?

With electronic tb's you gotta be careful. Manual ones move em all you want. Very fragile motors in these.

I have NO CEL, just a idle that constantly goes from 1500 to 2000 then back down to 1500 then up to 2000 it just CONSTANTLY does it

like VROOOOOOOOOOOOmmmmmmmmmmVROOOOOOOOOOOOOOmmmmmm

I took it to nissan, they tryed to do a hard reset of the TB's and relearning procedure...

they said they are both dead and require 2 new throttle bodies..

search on ebay for new TB.. you probably mess up the sensor inside it while cleaning.
