Default Question for the lowriders

I recently slammed my Z which now leaves me with about 2.5" of clearance under the car. The lowest part of the car being the protective brace, as you no doubt already know. How many of you rub/knock it on a daily basis and how is it holding up?

I use to rub mine everyday in my apartment's parking structure driveway, sometimes to the point where it teeter totters. Holds up fine and looks like it's moderately sandpapered around the brace's circular cut outs.

jack the car up after about a year and see how it holds up. Road and driving conditions differ.

Fair enough, lol. I'm not that worried about it, it was more out of curiosity. Seems like its pretty solid and I don't hit it hard or anything it's just scraping. I'm not going up a hair

Yes, scraping is a regular thing and I've not had any issues yet. While I hate Nissan itself, the Z's are very resilient; My friend's 300 was put up on a tractor tire once while drifting (don't ask...nobody has a video) and it was absolutely fine minus a couple scratches on the front bumper.

You'll start noticing obstacles in the road a lot more. Speed bumps suck, as well as the incline/decline pulling into places. While I was living in NY up until recently I was almost to the point of putting air ride on it. The roads sucked up there, but it was easier there to pull in and out of parking lots/driveways than it was in UT. Ive scraped the crap out of my car thanks to those two states.

^ Actually I measured, it's 1.8". Went downtown for the first time, was a very unpleasant experience. I don't think I'll be taking my Z DT anymore, lol, I can't get into any parking lots.
