Default New user, couple basic questions i'd like to know a a new Z owner

1) how often to wax? And is just using Mcquires okay? And as far as protection the interior any suggestions? I live in AZ and park outside, so that's why I wanna keep this thing staying clean.

2) once my tires are worn down I wanna upgrade the 17's to 18's or 19's...are 19'a gonna cost a lot more than 18s? Someone told me odd numbers usually cost more than the next inch up. Idk....what would look good on a silverstone car? Gun metal? Or a lighter color? I'm not picky on brand or if they're new or used. Besides Craigslist where should I look?

It's a 2005 automatic 350z. Bought it off a lady who was moving and she took great care of it so I wanna keep it that way. Any input on common issues, oil (I use mobile 1), etc I would really appreciate it. oh and if you're curious it is a 2005 with black leather interior and it's the touring model I believe. Had 75k miles and i paid 13k. Been looking for a new car for ages and finally found one that I liked. If there is anything I should know post away

I wash my Z once a week and wax every 3 months and use Mequiars. Though soon I am going to be moving to Griots for my polishing and waxing needs.

www.griotsgarage.com
www.autopia.org for detailing information and education.

Wheel's and tires are just a matter of personal opinion. You can find everything you need to know in the wheel/tire section.

I feel like my headlights might get bad soon. Is there a permanent/long term fix without getting new ones

As said above, Meguiars will never steer you wrong. I was once a week with their gold class shampoo, wax once every two months with Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax, and every 6 months I clay, polish, compound and seal all with Meguiars Ultimate Line.

For headlights, research to make sure, but I've heard Meguiars Ultimate Rubbing Compound can work on VERY minor hazing/oxidation.

I use Meguiars for everything. They have their own headlight restoration kit. But if it's not that bad, you can buy the Plastx and headlight protectant in separate bottles for cheaper. Just use these every 3-4 months to keep them looking like new.

Search for everything else.
