Default New ball joint popping sound

I just installed a new adjustable upper control arm on my driver side...now when i go over bumps in the road it makes a load popping/clunking sound...everythings tight and i put the new little cone adapter in it so what would cause this? does the cone adapter have to be pushed onto the ball joint deeper down?

Have you been under the car to see if there's any play up there when you push the wheel assembly around? Did anything get damaged when you removed the OEM upper control arm? Did you use a separator or a pickle fork?
