Hello! I need some input on an issue I am having. I have not driven my car in about 2-3 months. I went to charge the battery and the car fired up right away. No codes, no lights, everything is good. I drove the car around for the remainder of the day without any issues. The following morning, I start the car and the accelerator is lagging. I drive about two blocks and the car just shuts off, the battery is dead. I call my friend to give me a jump and the car fires up right away. He removes the jumper cables and the car dies. We put the jumper cables back on and let the battery charge a bit. I drive the car back home. again, no charge light or any other lights. I'm getting the battery checked out today to make sure it's good. Has anyone had this problem. The FSM states the charge light will light up if there is an alternator issue. I have checked fuse #36 and fuse #14 as well as the ground and power connections.. I have also checked the tension on the belt. Any input is greatly appreciated. thanks!

 

sound like either a short or an alternator issue

 

how about start with a new battery..
