Exclamation Weird start up noise!

Anyone have this noise on cold start ups? The comments said timing chain or low oil. I tried contacting people that commented on the video but no one has gotten back. Is this common?

There's a tensioner that uses oil pressure to keep the chain properly tensioned when the engine is running. It's got a ratchet locking mechanism that keeps the chain from going slack when the engine is off. It sounds like the ratchet on yours is broken or not working properly for some reason, and the chain is loose for a few seconds until the oil pressure comes up. See the pictures in post #1 of this thread:

Revive. Did you happen to find anything? Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Oil. Watch the gauge. It should come down to 60 at idle pretty quickly but if it's coming down further that is the issue.

Well when the engine is warmed up I idle at about 30psi (I think). Wait so does that mean that I need to add more oil? I checked the POS dipstick and it's still has enough oil in it.

I had my timing chain, ratchets, belts, gaskets etc replaced by Nissan under extended warranty.

So after having that warranty work done, it is still happening. Contacted the dealer, will get back with what they suggest.
