Have you replaced a clutch yet?
Had my tranny replaced the other day at 18,000 (grinding into 3rd) they replaced my cluch as well because they said the splines on the new transmission did'nt match up with the old clutch splines. The new clutch takes up about 2 inches later than the old clutch. Too late in my opinion. Dealer says this is not adjustable. Want the feel of my old clutch back. Can anyone help?

After the tranny replacement (3rd gear grind at 18,000) and clutch with it, it catches about 2-3 inches higher. I am used to it now, but really liked it closer to the floor. I got the same answer, it's not adjustable.
At 27k miles, my clutch left me stranded on the side of the road 30 miles from home. I noticed it slipping as I was driving up and figured I better order a clutch. When I was coming home, it went from ok to horrible in about twenty miles.

I have the chattering problem with my clutch, I noticed this around 14k miles. I now have 28k and still have chatter, as well as throwout bushing noise which goes away when I push the clutch in. My dealer says they can't hear it and that the chatter is normal. I'm taken it in twice already and they must think I'm crazy.
