Default Engine Noise

I have a rattle noise coming out of the engine. If you would click on the link below, it would take you to the YouTube page whereIi uploaded the video.

Please check it out and advice. Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks in advance.

Where is the sound coming from, have you checked the drive accessories, including water pump and alternator? If it isn't coming from those, I'd wager you have some valve or crank damage.

it sounds like a pulley or something on the outside that's loose. That could honestly be anything. Asking where a sound is coming from on a forum is like posting an audio clip of a dog barking and asking us what kind of dog it is. You can differentiate it to a point (big dog, small dog), but ask us the breed? Forget it lol.

don't you just love my analogies

Hard to tell.Overall to me sounds like "valve clatter".I'd put some additive
in your oil as a test to see if it quiets the noise.Go from there.

Valve damage.

Plus your engine bay is dirty as hell.

Check oil level, change oil, can try an additive i suppose. But those don't really work lol

An additive "could" help. But it will not fix the problem.. Perhaps prolong his engine for a short time period.
