Default Trunk won't stay open!

Hi guys, I just recently purchased a used 350Z and just today when I was using the trunk, I realized it couldn't stay up by itself. It is missing a spring on one side that doesn't allow it to open normally but when I get it opened the two hydraulic lifts do not seem to lock to keep the trunk open. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

yeah the stock hatch struts tend to fail over time.. get the Z1 motorsports upgraded hatch struts.. only $60 bucks and a world of difference.

Mine doesn't work well when it's cold. A reminder that my car is 5 years old.

Purchase a Louisville slugger. That'll keep it open.

That dang rear hatch has fallen on my head so many times...

With all the concussions I got from it, I keep forgetting the Hatch Struts are worn, and get another concussion....

And every time Katherine revs up the Microwave... I **** my pants and forget who I am for an hour..

Sincerely,

Eddie
