Smile 04 350z rev limiter is at 2500 HELP!!

i recently installed an aem long ram intake for my 2004 350z and a day after it rained and the rev limiter wont go over 2500 while in gear but rev fully while in neutral, i think it has to do something with the filter getting wet from it raining but im not sure whats wrong with it, if anyone could tell me whats wrong i appreciate it alot! thanks

You pull codes? Sounds like limp home mode.

OK, those DTCs are fairly consistent with a bad MAF (mass airflow sensor). What you can try is a disconnect/re-connect the wiring. And check said wiring as far back as you can looking for any breaks or loose connections. Try that and see if that takes it out of limp home mode.

Not sure if necessary but you may need to re-set the ECU: https://www.google.com/search?q=ecu+...nt=firefox-b-1 (I don't think so but good to have the info)

Replacing a MAF isn't a HUGE expense at least, usually around $150 or so.

i thought it was the maf which i replaced but i only left it in for about a couple of minutes since it kept idling weird and keeping the rev limiter at 2500.
im not sure if i was supposed to leave it in longer for it to take effect but ill check the wiring later today.
also one more question im sorry for asking so many questions but for the ecu reseting it doesnt matter which method i use like Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning or Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning?

I'm not really sure there's much of a difference as they both accomplish the same thing. (Kind of a hard reset.) I THINK. I've not actually had to do this myself. (Tune shop may have.)

Maybe someone else with hands-on can chime in here?

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
