I went back out and put the stock one back on, and it ran perfect. since I put a new sensor in the new intake could that sensor be bad?

and wat will disconecting the battery for 30 mins do?

then you probably have something installed incorrectly. make sure the maf sensor is in all the way, and the hose on the backside of the intake tube is ALL the way on with the hose clamp too. you didn't mess with the throttle body during install did you?

if it works with the stock one then the sensor is fine. theres a leak somewhere.

Did you touch your throttle body plate; maybe cleaned it wiped it down, you know, since you had the tube off. If you did you will have to relearn it and hope you didnt screw it up. I did this and had the same things happen you are describing.

I'm not saying you "harmed" it, but even a slight touch hosed my calibration up.
