Default Possible hydro lock?

So I drive through a deep puddle and the car won't go pass 3 rpm. It didn't die but I drove for a few mins and parked it at my job.

Read what Hydrolock is first....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrolock

I would park it and check:

-check the maf
-check the plugs

Sounds like your Lucky.
GL....

I read alittle for you and sounds like your maf. try cleaning it up with MAF cleaner, but if you can check all plugs also to see if they all good.

You have a CEL light?

No cel light. As of now I disconnected the battery. Yea I'll prob go to gas station to see if they have the cleaner. Should I get the car towed or try to drive to the shop after I get off work?

If anything was going to brake or happen it would have done it when you drove it earlier. Very lucky

should be ok unless your shop is crazy far, But I would clean it first. you might have to replace it.

But if it was me.
I would not take anothor chance on anything. I would clean the maf and see how it did and mybe buy a new one. If the prob. still there I would tow it.

do you have a CAI? change the filter. when your air filter gets soaked, your car goes into limp mode.

this happened to me every time i washed my car when i had my nismo cai. unplug the throttle body cable when the car is idling, let the car stall, then replug the throttle body cable and start the car and you should be fine. I did this every time and it worked. note that you might get CEL light after this procedure but resetting the ecu would eliminate that.

So I reset the battery and tried to clean the maf sensor as best as I could and car starts up fine. I was able to go pass 3 rpm. But I will still take it to mechanic to check for plugs
