tail light problems
I'm having a problem with my tail lights after I shut the car off the tail lights and tag lights stay on as well as the radiator fan the only way to turn them off is to turn the key over to acc. I have no idea what could be causing this I just bought the car it is a 2003 touring model, any help would be appreciated

Hi jwebb350z and welcome to the my350z.com community.
As Terrasmak mentions, it’s a short in the electrical wiring. I wouldn’t go as far as saying you have a “wrecked car with wire harness damage.” Terrasmak knows the Z very well, and I’ll bet he is suspicious because Nissan is known for its bullet-proof wiring.
Electrical problems are often very difficult to solve, but you have good clues since your license plate light and radiator fan motor are tied to the same problem. A good mechanic should be able to drill down to the solution in a short time and provide a fix.
The only thing that might defeat a fairly immediate solution is if a previous owner did some wiring to install an aftermarket whatever.
One thing I always do when solving a short (and I’m suspicious of a previous owner) is removing the trim plate on the door sill and examining the wiring there. If it’s not stock (that will be obvious), the previous owner may have butchered some of the car’s wiring. That means you’re on the “hunt.”
