Default Clutch Line Problem. Found part, but dont know what it is!!!

There is some sort of a pressure valve in between the two hard lines on the clutch fluid line. It is bolted to the chassis behind the front left wheel, and seems to be leaking air. I cant find the part anywhere and was wondering if anyone knew the actual name for it?

For some reason I cannot zoom in on your attachment and get a better look but I would bet it is the clutch line orifice that I have read about in another thread. Maybe search "clutch orifice" and/or search for threads about "clutch pedal sticking" or "clutch pedal won't come all the way back up" etc...

I found out that it is the clutch orifice. I removed it, bypassed it with a brass union, and my clutch line is still seeping. Just bought a ss clutch line to replace the rubber hose and i hope that ends it. Just waiting for it to come in.

Nice job! Would you please post pics of your bypass? I considered that, but ultimately decided that I will probably just eliminate the entire hardline, and run an SS from master to slave.

Found the problem! My master cylinder was leaking fluid past one of the valves, causing the "bleeding" effect on my clutch. The new ss line and straight trough union were definitely worth it. The clutch feels much more solid and responsible.

Got hung up replacing my clutch MC today, finally decided to go find the Factory Service Manual, to see how nissan recommends doing it.

I was all done, except putting the hardline on the new master, problem is, I couldnt line the damn fitting up to thread it in the master, after reading the FSM, it makes sense....

Threading the hardline is the first thing you do, mounting it is last

Oh well, ill get it tomorrow, when its warmer

Id still like to see your bypass of the clutch orifice, if you dont mind

FYI I pulled out the entire hardline, and replaced it with a stainless-braided line, that goes straight from master to slave.

Clutch operation is NIGHT AND DAY, much much improved. Ill do a full post with pics in an appropriate thread, as soon as i get the chance.
