Default question on swapping nonrevup into revup car...

Ok I am doing a swap on a 06 g35 6mt. It obviousy has the vq35de motor , but as most knoe and I recently learned there r 2 versions of this motor. This car being a n 06 manual 6 speed g35 it has the rev up motor wih vvt or what ever its called. Anyway the motor is blown and I have a non revup to put init.

Almost 100% its motor out of an 03 but ill confirm this shortly. It was out of a 350z manual. Motor is pretty complete. Has exhaust manifolds wih the o2 sensors, intake mani, all thesensors still plugged inand has harness. No computer, no pwr steering pump, no alt. No ac comp. No belts. No starter. Not reusable mounts

The plan:
Swap in this non revup motor, put on the missing accessory drives, plug into 06 stock computer, have reflashed.

Quesions:
Ok I read that the o2 sensors are different, that the 03 motor doesnt have wide band sensors. Is this true?

Will the 03 harness plug and play with 06 g35 computer?

Can the dealer reflash the ecu to make the car flawlessly with non revup motor?

Is there anything I over looked?

correction the g35 is an 05 NOT 06 not sure if thay makes a diff.

Ok so after looking he non revup motor believed to be from an 03 it has 3 wire o2 sensors. Most wide bands are 4 and basic or narrow band 02s are 3 wire.

Is there markings on the motor so I can find out what year it is

The easiest way to compare a standard and Revup VQ35DE is the front engine cover:

Standard

REVUP

Also, no I don't think you can just swap in a non-revup engine into a car with a revup harness/ECU, even with Osiris, becuase of the heads and wiring differences...you could take the heads off you blown revup and put it on the non revup, that should work...

Have motor in car and have the 03 harness still on the 03 motor. Plugged it into computer but car does not start and when battery is hooked up the running lights stay on. Car cranks but no fuel.

Hey bro, I'm having to make the same choice you did. My '06 Z M/T has a bad rod knock and needs an engine. I came across a '04 g35 M/T and was wondering the same thing. How did it work out for you?

Any input would be greatly appreciated bro.

Thanks
