Default stripped oil pressure sending unit

Ok, I am f*cked. My sensor was not acting right so I ordered a new one. I took the old one out and installed the new one. I started the motor and saw bunch of oil come out from the new unit.

Shut the car off, took the thread out. Upon inspection, the new one is threaded different. I put the old one in just to close the gap to stop the oil. Now its, stripped. Just wondering if the thread is 1/8 bsp and and what kind of thread repair kit are out there

Ghetto, but it works. (needs to be completely clean/dry)
Get Qwiksteel and wrap the thread in it. Screw back in and let dry. (i've used it on my lincoln towncar before)

Or you can re-tap, but you might have made the hole bigger and might not work. I'll let other chime in since I'm all for jigger-rigging

So this is what happened

Not my picture but thats pretty much what happened.

I used JB weld. Gonna wait till it dries up tomorrow and add teflon tape around the new sensor. I am gonna re-install it and see how it goes.

If it just holds up till i get it to a welder, I would be happy.

I wouldn't trust the jbweld or any sealant known to hold up to that kind of pressure. . . maybe sika-crack fix?

thats a bad spot. you *might* find someone to weld it back. they may do a decent job. but they wont guarantee the work and wont guarantee that it wont leak. you probably dont want to hear this, but you may need a new upper oil pan in the end. i had motor mounts re-welded on my block and i barely found someone local that would even agree to do the work. oh and most people are going to want the engine out. and maybe torn down. but you could just take the upper oil pan out and take it to them. i have an extra upper oil pan btw from my old block

I found a thread that they are different so thats what worries me.

The JB weld didnt do a good job. Oil leaks. I am mad.

I am just mad since I did a motor swap 2 weeks prior to this happened.

My previous motor had bad rear main seal, bad oil pump, broken engine mounts, broken radiator support and AC sensor

I got a rev up motor with good compression for very good price, spent 3 days to do the swap.

I changed driver side front axle, control arm and outer tie rods instead of replacing the worn out bushings.

I spent close to $1500 to fix this car so i could have a reliable daily driver for another 3-4 years and when I took the oil pressure sensor out, BOOM.

What **** me off is that I still have couple more problems to solve. (weld the driver seat mount and replace stripped out diff drain plugs)

I hate life.
