Default To ALL those that had their TIRES replaced by Nissan

Did you ask Nissan if you can swap them for S-03's? Was any one successfull in getting the S-03's for their tire featherin swap. Please let me know. NNA is contacting my dealership to have the front tires swapped.

I tried to get different tires but they said it would be a modification so they would not do it.

Some have been successful though, I think mainly if the stock tires are not available.

My Dealer replaced the fronts with Bridgestone Re 92. Since I live in the NE and wanted at least mud and snow tires it seemed cool even though only a V rating. The problem came when I went to get the same tire on the rears. They do not make the RE92 in that size. When I told the dealer to either match or replace with 4 matching tires they found RE92S in the right size for the back. I don't think Nissan approved the first set of fronts but rather the dealer felt responsible because I first reported feathering around 9k but they did not have the right tire machine to perform the TSB. By the time they got their machine set up I had over 14k on the tires. Note: I now have 28k on the Z and the Re92's are not feathering. They said the allignment was way out. The Re92's do not have the large outside block tread that the 040's had.

Default RE04's

NNA gave me RE04's - I would have had to pay for the difference to put Pilot's on.

My dealer took the replacement RE040s, paid for my front Dunlop SP sport 9000s, and I put the rear Dunlops on and swapped to the Nismo LM-GT 4 rims at the same time.

I can't say enough good things about the new rims and tires.

my story is very similar to chedlund's. by the time my tire feathering was noticed the fronts were shot and that was only 2 months after i bought it used from the nissan dealer. car was unsafe to drive esp. with winter coming up and the dealer was responsible for selling a faulty car. So the dealer put on the bridges RE92 all weather on the front. i was not as fortunate however cause my originals were fine on the back and I kept those. now i am sliding a little in the snow. key here though is that these RE92's were not paid for by NISSAN, the dealer "ate" the cost. in my case cause they should have caught the feathering before they sold the car and in chedlund's case they were liable because they did not have the equipment to do the TSB. From what I understand NNA will only replace with the OG 040's which suck in the first place.

Replaced with OEM tires. Service rep said that these were the only ones that he could order using the warranty.
