Motul 300V on a stock engine; How long can I use it for?
I picked up some Motul products for really cheap last night.
5 quarts of 300V 5W30
2.10 quarts SAE 75W90 gear and diff oil
Mo cool coolant additive
2 cans of that wash wax stuff.
Can I use this on my stock engine and how long can I use it for? My brother goes 8000 miles on his S2000 with Amsoil so if I could get similar mileage with this then ill put it in.
Also is the gear oil decent for the transmission?
I searched motul 300V and couldnt find much information on it, it seems to be one of the least popular oils.

I'm not sure what rating that gear oil is but I'm going to guess since it's gear oil and not transmission oil it will be GL5 which is not recommended. It has to be GL4 in our transmissions or it will wear out the bearings. For the diff GL5 will work perfect.
Oil change interval is all up to you. Most oils will last 7500 miles but I would never trust oil on a performance engine to stay clean after 7500. The oil might not be broken down but that doesn't mean there won't be particulates that circulate through your crucial engine parts causing further wear. I don't understand how they don't take into consideration the contamination oil gets after time when they recommend 7500 mile intervals.

Threw the oil on, cant tell a difference but cant beat that deal.
Is OE Nissan fluid the most recommended for our transmissions? I want to swap mine out soon. I remember I replaced the MTF on both my Hondas and the felt better instantly.

The only way to know for sure is try it for 7500 mi, then send a sample to blackstone. Either way I think running anything 7500 mi in a VQ is a very bad idea.

Sorry to say, Motul hasn't had the best results in a VQ35. There's an excellent thread by Resolute about used oil analysis and the tabulated results. Here's the extensive link:

As for the tranny, the gear oil you're quoting is outside the viscosity range Nissan recommends for our six-speeds. Better to use a product like Redline MT85, which is a synthetic engineered with enough friction to allow optimum syncro operation.
