Default performance clutch issues with 2007 hr engine

i have a problem with the clutch fluid leaking out rapidly after the spec super twin clutch was installed the first time they failed to replace the slave and master cylinders the clutch fluid immediately leaked out the second time they did this suggested replacement with oem parts this time things worked for a test drive but it was not highway driven, however within minutes of hitting the highway the system ruptured a second time is this a typical slave cylinder issue which can be fixed with the zsp 350z heavy duty concentric slave cylinder 07-08 hr or am i dealing with some other issue

Sounds like a problem with incompetent installer(s).

what do you think is happening to rupture the system ? they think the new clutch is creating more pressure causing the oem slave cylinder seal to rupture and the aftermarket replacement will handle the pressure and solve the issue

I think it's tough to say, not seeing exactly where the leak is coming from. Is it definitely a blown seal in the slave, or is it a defective hydraulic line? And, if in fact the new clutch you had installed requires so much more pressure to operate, it may not be suitable for long-term use on a street car, regardless of the slave you use. Sorry, I'm just not familiar with that clutch kit, but maybe someone else here is.

spec claims their kit is very streetable the leak is not from a line when the aftermarket part comes in and they take things apart i want to see the old slave 2007 have an issue with the slave with the stock clutch an aftermarket clutch makes this problem worse i have seem all sorts of posts to this effect however none seem to describe a situation as bad as mine just trying to determine if it is reasonable to believe i have a version of the same problem or something else i want to see if others have had a problem as bad as mine

I believe a good shop would solve the problem or not even let it happen. I would take it somewhere, unless they warranty their work. It doesn't seem logical to have repeated problems with no solution. Additionally a different shop that specializes in Z/G's will be able to give you information on before and after. (After being they fix it right) Just my suggestion.

Wasn't there a thread a while back about someone putting together a kit to replace the POS CSC with a traditional fork and ball system with an external slave cylinder?

i have a shop that specializes in z' s advising on the project problem is mine has an hr engine only 2 model years apply so there is not that much hands on experience to draw from my concern after looking on line is that i havent heard a story exactly like mine so i am hoping to find someone who has gone down my road hoping they can advise failing that someone with enough knowledge to confirm whether it is logical to treat my issues like the typical 350z slave cylinder problem

have now had time to view the oem slave cylinder seal was ruptured so the theory that the spec clutch produced too much pressure seems likely to be correct the zsp 350z heavy duty csc concentric slave cylinder will be installed shortly will update how this works in case others have my same problem this aftermarket part appears on the face of it to be much stronger than the oem part it will replace

finally i am driving this car. i can see why the slave failed this aftermarket clutch is significantly stiffer much greater pressure than oem clutch. aftermarket slave cylinder and master cylinder is definately the way to go
