Default stiff steering

so my steering wheel turn with more effort then usual.

i thought it was the pump and replaced it, but has the same effects.

so im thinking its the rack and pinion...

any DIY to replace this? is it at pretty easy job?

Steering pressure sensor. Have a look physically and / or scan the ecu for error.
Mine broke lol.

I'm trying to remember where exactly but I can't. It should be right under the center of the engine I think. It's just some connectors. Maybe it's loose / dirty.

I think that's true. If it's not functioning, then your steering will be stiff at low speed.

Maybe your power steering fluid is low? What year is your Z and how many miles are on it?

Digging in the graveyard here lol did you ever fixed this issue? I'm having issues with steering now. I turn (happens both directions) and at first is normal but then gets hard at certain point. Also prior to this issue (while making a turn) half way thru the turn I let the steering reposition itself but now it barely wants to reposition itself. I have been told by one shop that my rack and pinion is bad then I had another wanting to play the game of Which part is it? told me to do the power steering pump first cause my fluid is fried and most likely its cause of a bad pump but then said and if that doesn't fix the issue then is your rack and pinion. Does anyone here know a trustworthy shop or local mechanic that know this cars well? I'm located in Orlando,FL.
