Default Burning smell under acceleration

When I pull hard in any gear I get a burning smell. Stock everything. I also see a little smoke out from the rear.

Any ideas?

hmm.. fried piston ring maybe?

Check the compression in the different pistons or keep an eye on your oil consumption

Definitely sounds like the rings are bad.

How bad is it? Because a little of this is normal in any car.

**What year and mileage is on your car?

It's not that bad but concerning. I've never had low oil before~

It could also be a failing clutch disc, particularly if it's an acrid odor coming at each shift.

OP- it would really help to know what year and mileage is on your Z.

2004 with 110k miles on it.

i changed out the clutch and flywheel to the JWT setup when my car hit 60k

dosnt smell like a buring clutch?? also i see a little smoke so i dont think its the clutch

i do have 2 codes causing the check engine light to be on.

P1284
P1273

thought it was the front o2 sensors.. replaced them and the lights back on again with the same codes
