Exclamation Urgent! Transmission noise from first to second gear

I just got my first 350z last week and I'm loving it! The only thing that concerns me is that sometimes I get a "clunk" noise from the transmission only when I shift from first to second along with a similar noise when I depress the clutch only in first gear. This usually happens when it is cold but does on occasion when it is warm as well. I've looked into it and found that this is common with the 350s transmission. Wondering if I should be concerned about this. I have an 06 base 350.

I'm thinking your getting the clunk noise in first gear because your pressing the clutch into fast after you already let off the throttle. In first let off the throttle and wait for the car's weight to go forward then push in the clutch.

The genuine Nissan gear oil isn't very good... The gearbox on these cars is noisy, I had clunk and noises from the gearbox and it really helped changing the gear oil to Motul 300 Gear. Smoother and less noisy now.

Keep in mind thicker oil, although more quiet, will make shifting more difficult in cold weather.
