If I remember correctly, they only screw in properly one way.

I juat picked the car up from the dealership yesterday. They replaced the bank 1 air/fuel sensor and the throttle body. They said they had tested the injectors and they are working properly now...but the car still is running rich and cutting off sometimes, but is doing a lot better than originally. so the guy said they tested out puting a new air intake on and that actually fixed it completely. Only problem is that they wanted $740 to replace the air intake parts and labor...I picked the car up and ordered a k&N Typhoon which should be coming in today.

I did take the other air intake off that the previous owner put in there and I think its actually somthing homemade....after removing the air filter I noticed that the end of the MAF sensor housing is all taped up at the end. After removing the tape (which was stuck on with extra adhesive) it revealed that the housing of the MAF sensor was actually cracked all the way around like someone tried to cut it and that the tape was also covering up a big missing chunk on the housing.
Hopefully this new air intake will take care of the problem

Edit: Nvm, just read that last bit - I guess you solved your problem then. MAF.

I installed a new K&N typhoon cold air intake on it yesterday, I also picked up a new MAF sensor because I bet when the dealership tested the other air intake they also had the different sensor in it as well. But anyways the car runs wonderfully now and problem is solved!
I guess the sensor was bad to begin with and coincidentally the MAF sensor went out at the same time as when I did the seafoam treatment.
