Getting Orange Exclamation light but I have a base with no TPMS??
It comes on & then off when I shut it off. It just started. Front brakes a new, care just turned 17k (2005MT) but I do have lager 10, 11.5X19's.
What is this light & what problem do I have now?
Thanks guys. Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I'm a disabled vet & it's been a long day.

I am an aircraft mechanic. I know my car has no TPMS. I also have the window sticker & have driven it since I bought it. Base models do not have TPMS. My HUD has a function for it but it's just dashes.
Anyway, Carver thanks man. You may be on to something there. There is no buzzer & it is just solid & it resets when I stop. This light does more than monitor tire pressure. I think I read one other similar statement. So few Z owners understand some of the idiosyncrasies of this car. I just turned 40 but young guys or retired guys mostly drive them. Often neither take the time to truly understand their car. I would love to know less but this car is quirky. Thanks again.

Bigpoppa, the brake warning light (exclamation) has two functions, it signals that the hand brake is engaged, and warns of low brake fluid in the master cylinder. First check that the hand brake lever is all the way down, then check the level of fluid in the MC. If the master cylinder fluid is low don’t just fill it up. The low level is an indication of worn brake pads. The worn pads cause the caliper pistons to automatically adjust outward pulling fluid from the master cylinder. Check and replace the brake pads as necessary.
Been there, done that.

Beginning in 2005 TPMS became standard in ALL 350z models. Only the 03-04 Base models did not have TPMS. I have a 2005 Base with TPMS and am the original 1st and only owner. I leave my TPMS light on since I swap wheels and tires constantly.

BTW, are you Guard up there?
The TPMS (low tire pressure light) is an exclamation point with a cross section of a tire shape around it. The brake warning light is an exclamation point with circle shapes around it.
I believe you all are correct. I had to drive more than 30 miles "which I never do". They were never programmed but did come on when I got a flat with stock wheels. I sold my wheel sensors with my stock rims. Ya live & learn. Thanks guys.
So I bought these Huge wheels specifically for my year & make. I bought them mounted & balanced & shipped. They are 19's 11.5 in back 10 in front. This is the 1st time in a yr & a half that this light has come on. Maybe there is TPS on the wheels yet to be programmed. . The stems are metal with a "chromy" but at the base of the stem it is rubber. I did notice a LOT of sticky weights for balancing. These wheels are hugely wide but it maybe offsetting the sensor, IDK. If there was no sensor, wouldn't the light have come on in the last 18 months?? I learned six months ago I have a non rev up motor as not all 05's are rev up, even though mine is 6 speed MT.
Time to do some reading. All 05 engines were DEs except for the 35th anniversary edition were DE rev ups. All 06s were DE rev ups except automatics.
If the base is a bubbly rubber stem then it is just a capped regular valve stem. The TPMS has a special "nut" holding it in place. The TPMS sensors do go bad over time due to battery life IIRC. They can also be reprogrammed to your car at most major tire places. If it got damaged you will need to replace it.

Yup, without the sensors installed its 30 to 45 minutes till the light is triggered. If they are installed and programmed , you will get an instant light the second pressure goes under 28
Bigpoppa, not sure if you are aware of this or not, but the 350Z TPMS wheel sensors are made by Schrader. Genuine Schrader direct fit OEM style sensors are available for as little as $49.99 each with free shipping from Amazon, etc sellers. No need to pay Nissan dealer pricing for these.
