Help! Slips light comes on while driving.
Just the other day I was coming home on the freeway & I was going about 70-75 mph on the freeway & my car would lose power & the slip light would come on. It happen multiple times driving back home on the freeway. I'd let go of the throttle & get back on it after it slowed down than get back on the throttle & run perfect again.. Any ideas what would be causing this? Help please it's a DD.
Terrasmak is on track
Check your tires for excessive wear and or the correct tire sizing. With factory sizes, computer may think the tires are slipping because the rears are much smaller in diameter than expected (i.e really worn) and rotating too fast in relation to the fronts. New rear tire ALWAYS fixed this issue for me. If you have a square setup, swap tires front to back and see if this solves the issue. If you find a bolt on the rear hubs is keeping your stock wheels from fitting, get all new rims and tires....or just remove the bolts
