Default Help please!!!

So yesterday my fan wouldn't turn off. So today i added a little of distilled water in the reservoir because it was a bit low and i went on a drive, didn't drive too hard but a little bit hard. Then my fan kicked in and then the coolant gauge started to spike up then it went back to normal and so i check under the hood and there were some leakage by the thermostat housing. What do you guys think this is? bad thermostat? bad radiator? bad coolant?

So, you have a coolant leak?

I don't know what it is. The radiator just would not turn off until I turn the car off. And I don't know what the coolant leak oon the thermostat was.

the radiator itself doesnt run, assuming you are talking about the fans that would kick on when the temperature rises kicked off by the thermostat. i would start by changing it out

Yes that's exactly I meant. The fan keeps on spinning and spinning. So should I change thermostat? My coolant looked pretty dirty do you think it could've cause the thermostat to clog?

I would start with a new thermostat, fix the leak and a good flush. See what happens and go from there.
