Some spirited driving might have damaged the switch

I'll check the clutch interlock switch tomorrow, but looking at the PDF shop manual I'm not sure if I'm looking at the correct item..

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2006/ec.pdf -under page 531, shows for a park/neutral position switch. I just couldn't find anything for the clutch interlock switch under the engine control system.. I did find it under the clutch section tho so I'm not sure if thats the same thing.

Where exactly where I would be jumping the clutch interlock switch? Down under the dash or in one of the fuseboxes?

Look under the dash and follow the clutch pedal up to its hinge. The switch is mounted on the clutch pedal assembly. It's the one at the bottom of the pedal stroke; the one on top is to cancel cruise control.

Unplug the connector and place a 2-3" jumper on the wire-side. Use electrical tape to secure the jumper and to secure the connector so it's not pinched by moving pedals.

I've found the switch, just cant get the damn connector off the back.. I must be over-thinking how exactly to squeeze it to unhook it.

I still need to put the starter back on but I'm tired of messing with that pos connector. I'll be checking the pdf for any tips

Location of the switch is in the manual under clutch, wiring diagram is under starting system. Make sure you're on the interlock and not the ascd.

Ok so I finally got that damn connector loose and removed the switch altogether. (Thank you fmx10!!)

Now I'm left with the wire.. (attached pic)

I'm guessing I put the jumper wire from the left hole, into the right hole and that will bypass the clutch interlock switch?

If it's only 2 wires then you can simply jump the 2 together.
Your wheels probably locked up because you were in first gear going slow. At 4-5 mph you need to use 2nd gear for a push start.

Screw the switch. Every car I own, they all can be started without pushing the clutch pedal.

I'm having the exact same issue. Only difference is I have an automatic. Does the 06 Z automatic have this wire?
