2006 350Z Roadster Slip Light issues
Hi I have the 06 Z Roadster. I have heard a rumble which sounds like a bearing on the front right tire. First I was told it was breaks and then I needed a master cylinder. Ok. Then it happens again, but at speeds of 45 mph or higher more. Now if I am taking a curve on the freeway at 40mph I hear a grind, almost like the calipers tried to grasp, and the engine looses speed and the SLIP light comes on. Soon as I am driving straight the engine be able to accelerate.
Last trip to my tire and low maintenance shop, they said it was the front tire, that on the computer, the outer parts of the tire were higher and the inner tread was lower, so that when the tire us ran, heating up, the middle of the tire is only what is hitting the asphalt and thus the suspension is thinking I have lost traction. (I had just put new tires on the back, now bought 2 new tires for the front.) Still have this situation. They also said I will soon need new back brakes and rotors, but I feel they don't have enough knowledge and wont have them do this work....Could I be not correctly defining where the noise is coming from, and it be from low back brakes? My VDC has been on every this happens. This guy has the same type issue...any answers? I hate shops thinking women are easy money.

Why are you hitting the gas when it slips? My first guess is crap tires and second guess is something wrong with the anti-slip system. Have you tried driving with it off? Maybe not that road at 50+ (as you could spin if it's off), your rpms are high (4k+ like in the video) and if the tires spin and you're not moving much then those tires are not safe. If you don't get the same slip issues then my next step would be to use a code reader and see if there's a code.

First of all, don't go back to the shop you have recently taken your Z to.
Like Spike asked, information regarding tire sizes are needed. Please go to the car and read the sizes embossed on the sidewall; the format should be aaa-bb-cc.
