Window will not go up
Hello everyone, yesterday when I pulled in to my driveway i found out my window wouldn't go up. I was wondering what this could be. when I try to wind it up it does not make any sound it just does not go up. any idea of what went wrong here? I have an appointment with speedy glass tomorrow, unless its something I can fix on my own. I also just changed my battery about 3-4 days ago. maybe in relation to that? thank you
I cosign that.
I think what that does is shake the carbon, or whatever the dust is caked up inside the electric motor, away enough to get a good electrical contact. If it works from this technique, search for a new motor and try to do it yourself.

Yes I also did this and it worked for me for the past few months, last week it finally gave out.
Your window motor finally gave out.. Mine did the same and would not go up. It used to when I hit the door but died eventually.
Just replace it yourself with an OEM one, the Cardone remanufactured ones suck.

Go find my thread on how to swap the motors out and do it yourself. Do not have it done at the dealer. They will rape you lubeless...

ya it works fine i tried fiddling with the child lock but nothing works, and I also tried to bang against the door to hopefully trigger the motor to work... looks like im in the hole on this one
I ordered one from Oriley's Auto Parts for like $150 I think. It isn't that hard to install. Just need to get a buddy and find the write up.

I took my old motor in for core, and have the life time warranty.
Its a little tricky the first time, but if you ever have to replace it again you'll have it down.
