Default cylinder 2 misfire

2003 6 speed 350z
104,xxx miles
Premium 93 gasoline only
Mobile 1 synthetic 5w30 every 2500 miles
New valve covers
New injector
New pcv valve
New spark plugs
1 new coil pack
Compression checked out great for the millage of this car as well

These are all the things I've done so far to try and solve my problem with my cylinder 2 misfire cel that comes and goes every month or 2 until I rest and relearn the ecu.

Does anyone have any other ideas on what I should do next ? Thanks in advance

Only misfire issues I have had were coil pack problems. Just to be sure, you are working on the front drivers side? I mixed this up once, and started changing the wrong coil pack.

I assume the car runs bad when you are getting the code?

Interesting note, my coil packs started to go bad at 105,000 miles. Two failed within a week of each other and I would not get a code till they failed completely. So you might have another going bad and its not showing up yet.

Try changing the other coil packs as well.

Good Luck.

When mine was goin out. Before any signs of failure, it would blink the check engine light at highway speeds.

As long as the car runs fine, I'd be inclined to just keep an eye on it until you can feel it misfiring or feel a drop in performance.

That's the thing I wanna catch it before it can our does cause a problem for me. Mine blinked last month heavily as I got on the throttle until I put it in neutral turned it off on a roll and started it back up again.now just comes and goes periodically.

Another thing to note is the car at isle makes a thumping sound almost like a miss but people claim its fuel damper?

Check the wiring on the coil pack - those wires are pretty thin and it might have a small break or something in it - especially since your problem seems to come and go.
