Default Estimate cost for front end collision on 350z?

I was looking into buying a crashed 350z from a yard and saw a really cheap 03 for 2k. How much you think it would cost to fix it? I think the crash might of been like at 30-50 mph idk

This was $7K:

Z's can be expensive to repair. The airbag and seat belts were the most $$$, and as you can see, the rest of the damage is quite minor. The nose got sideswiped as I was sitting waiting to pull out of my driveway.

Default Wow that expensive

How much do you think it will be for just the front without the airbags?

I couldn't even guess. Maybe it needs fenders, maybe the frame rails are bent? Surely it needs the radiator, condensor, steering cooler, radiator support crossmember, crash bar, airbag sensor, bumper, hood, headlights, and a million other small parts. And, it will always have a salvage title. You can get a damn nice never-crashed '03 easily for under $10K, so why bother with this wrecked one?

Beyond that- the pic posted of the wrecked Z shows a significant front impact. You really need to look under the hood to determine if there was any engine or frame damage. IMHO the OP should RUN, not walk away from this Z and save their money.

Exactly - this is a parts car, at best. Even if it could be repaired 100%, it's still a a 2003 with a salvage title. What's that worth - $7K max?

Default Where to get a cheap 350?

I only have about 5k to buy a 350 but the cars I've seen for that price are either crashed or automatic. I'm looking for a cheap 350z around 5k or 6k that's a 6sp any help?

Let's get real, for a $5K budget, a good 350Z is out of your range. Particularly in Cali, where resale prices and costs are high. Be honest with yourself: can you buy a wrecked Z33, and have the skills, tools and experience to absorb all the labor costs? That's the only way you'd be able to afford it- and even then, the salvage title means you'll never sell it for what you have in it.

You really need to save way more $$ to get a Z that hasn't been totally used up. Don't put yourself into a position where the car is constantly breaking down, or worse yet, sits for long periods because you can't fix it, won't pass emissions, etc. Either that, or set your sights on a lower priced FWD car that you can drive until you can afford a decent Z. And yeah, you can thank me later...

You interested in drifting? Why not get an s chassis (240sx)? You could get a good condition 240, or a beat to crap 350z.. I wouldn't mind a nice sr s13

I met someone who bought an 03 Z with 120k miles for 6k. It had been repainted multiple times and had been pieced back together from wrecks at least twice but still had a clear title. It was a garbage can of a car but a dream come true to the owner. lol

The pic you posted actually looks to have suspension damage which would skyrocket the price.
