Default Manifold flush ?

Went to dealer had them change oil just to hot to do it now. So they tell me I need a manifold flush $159. So I ask what's that they take manifold off and clean all deposits and flush. I have never heard of that on this forum has anyone else I haven't had it done. I have a 2004 350z roadster with 39,000 miles runs great. I always use high test gas. Anyone else ever do it?

It's fairy dust- you don't need it.

Don't forget greasing those muffler bearings and headlight fluid.

By chance did you get this 'manifold flush' work order/quote in writing? This is epic...

Hahah they want your hard earned money for doing in essence nothing.

I hate the dealer and they generally charge a staggering $120 an hour. Their techs are pretty incompetent not the master mechanic but he will not touch your car unless a high $$ value is in there.

My local dealer wanted to change my cabin air filter.. for $60 too bad we don't have one.

Dot 7 if you intend to track it.

I go home depot, pick up one of this and do a homemade oil catch can. Then you should come back to the dealership to do your next oil change, and see if they are going to ask you for another manifold flush.
Pick up this,

Do a homemade oil catch can,

They MAY have been referring to the BG intake cleaner and just worded it wrong.

I've used that stuff on many cars while I worked in a shop. You'd be surprised how many people buy stuff like that.

Not in Suffolk, but I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Real Auto Dynamics in Oceanside. They can do nearly anything you might need to have done. They work on all types of cars including a lot of specialized experience with Nissans. Look them up on google or facebook.

This shop I heard nothing but good news on this shop. I heard they also serve you pancakes after each service. The owner Anthony Giambri is an outstanding chap well known in the Z community. Check them out hehehehe.
