Hey guys first post here. I have a 2005 6 speed Touring with 160k miles. After some minutes or an hour or so driving, a noise in the engine bay starts and gets loud. I'm guessing the car is overheating, but the temp gauge is fine. Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzMt...ature=youtu.be , anyone know whats going on?

 

Sounds like at least one if not both head gaskets are leaking. These cars are also known for problems with bad thermostats, and radiators usually last about 65K.

Sounds pretty bad, I'd prolly dump it. GL.

 

Damn I really hope thats not it. I also forgot an important point that the sound always goes away, and the temperature gauge stays at half.

 

Update: I'm pretty sure i was just being paranoid and it's my fans kicking in. No coolant smell, no coolant in oil, temp stays at half, and... it sounds like it's coming from belt/fan area
