Overheated - A/C quit - Runs fine now.
My 2006 350z overheated on a 90° day while sitting at an idle with A/C running for about 10 minutes. A puff of white smoke come from the hood. Opened the hood, but no leaks visible. Could smell coolant.
Immediately drove the car and temperature came down to normal operating temp. Car ran rough like a cylinder misfire (is there a sensor that shuts down cylinders when hot?). Drove it home about a mile.
Let it cool and checked the coolant. Normal level. Drove it and it ran great except the A/C stopped working.
Going to visit a mechanic, but hoping someone might know what to check based on this info.
