My car started pulling left a little about a week ago.
Yesterday after a ~350 drive, slowing down for a traffic jam, i noticed the front of the car shimmying left/right at around 5-10mph (not under load (braking/accel))
If i pull away from a stopped position, the car will roll, get to a certain point, and the steering wheel will pull left suddenly, moving it a few inches. If i continue rolling slowly, it will do it again, turning another couple of inches, perhaps at about the rotation of the wheels.
If i reverse the car, it will do the same thing, but to the right.
Getting up to speed the shimmying turns to a vibration, but not a metal on metal kind of vibration, it's not brake related, they don't bind or change the pull under braking. It's also pulling harder to the left than it was about a week ago.
Suspension is stock, about 88k miles.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Something's freezing up or shifting. Could be bearings, brakes, suspension, steering rack, a loose bolt.... Have you lifted the front end and checked everything? Check for shimmying side to side and up and down on your wheels. Get under there and snap photos if you're unsure.

Alright, never seen anything like it, but, it's the tyre...
It's one long bulge on the inside track of the tyre, about 8 inches long and a couple wide, it has just distorted the shape a little, but it certainly explains everything i've been feeling.
Going to order the new ones now

$378 is a lot better than having that tire blow out at speed, causing you to lose control and ram the car next to you or a guardrail. Consider yourself blessed to have found it in time...

Yes, yes it is.
I'm going to try and get some decent pics of this and post them. It's really quite interesting how it's gone, and you can see that it's been starting to go for a little while as the inside shoulder is more worn in the bulge area than the rest of the circumference.
