Has anyone replaced the differential pinion seal?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at $180 in labor fees from the dealership to replace the differential pinion seal, and I'm wondering if anyone has done it and can give me a run down on how hard it is. I have the means to get the car up and the drive shaft removed, however after that I'm not sure. The FSM (http://boredmder.com/FSMs/Nissan/350z/2003/RFD.pdf page 6) shows it needing an extremely deep socket for the pinion bolt, as well as some crazy puller for the flang and the seal its self. I don't have access to those, so if they are strictly necessary then I'm going to have to bite the bullet on this one.
Thanks!

deep socket shouldnt be too expensive and it looks like something bolted to the flange to keep it from spinning.... the other tools you could prob rent from somewhere... one is a gear puller and the other is a slide hammer. looks pretty straight forward
