Default Wheel wobble flexing sound after hitting a curb last year

Hey guys, I know I’m gonna feel like a retard for posting this, but I need some advice on what else to look at regarding my suspension, before I ultimately take it to a professional, if it’s something I can’t fix myself.

Last year I hit some ice going around a corner down my street and ending up hitting the curb, with the driver side taking the damage (the car did a 180 and went up and over the curb, which was a regular size curb). The end result was the rear toe link getting bent and the rear wheel getting chewed up. The hit ended up messing up my alignment, causing the steering wheel to turn.

Long story short, I ordered a new toe link and got the wheel repaired and everything aligned. However, for quite a while, at low speed cornering (parking lots mainly) I hear a wheel wobble that’s really loud. I also hear this flexing sound either while cornering and/or starting from a stop and sometimes when coming to a stop (all low speed). Recently I changed out the rotors/pads, wheel bearings and sway bar end links (since I thought it could have been that), but I still have the issue. I’ve checked the suspension parts, and to my knowledge, nothing looks bent and bushings look ok.

I’m running on stock ride height, so no suspension modifications have been done at this time. I’ve gotten new tires too (I needed them pretty bad), thinking it could be that, but that didn’t change anything.

So I’m wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues, and if so, what did you end up doing to fix it? What other things could I look at?

Eventually I want to replace all of my bushings and some of the other suspension parts with SPL parts, but I don’t have the funds at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

What type of repair was done to the wheel? Unless you took it to a wheel specialist (not a tire store) who could evaluate both inner and outer runout, I'd be suspicious of the wheel itself. Don't delay in getting some professional help, as this could be a serious problem.

Probably a wheel bearing, they don't like big impacts

I took it to a wheel specialist. They said it was bent so they repaired it and resurfaced the lip where it was chewed up. I may need to have them rebalanced as some of the wheel weights are gone.

Also, I replaced all 4 wheel bearings, so I know it's not the bearings anymore like I first thought.

If you are still worried about the wheel just bolt on the spare and see if the sound goes away.

What does the "flexing" sound like? What does the "wobble" sound like?

What side of the car is it coming from?

It is possible to tweak a lot of stuff that may still pass a visual inspection and even align properly.

The "flexing" sounds like something is hitting something slightly when turning, or even starting from a dead stop. The "wobble" sounds just like that, a wobble, when turning.

I was going to say sounds like a wheel bearing lol. My old car needed one bad and the sound was insane. My mechanic said it's was fine to drive on but only for the deaf.
