Default Budget Valve Cover replacement

So I was doing research I had gone through 3 sets of used valve covers including one I used the R&D kit on which held for awhile. I started searching what vehicles used the VQ35DE and wikipedia gave me a list. Went through each car looking at they're valve covers online trying to see which ones matched the 350z to bolt on. I found through eBay 13264-7Y000 and 13264-7Y010 which fit Altima/Maxima/Quest I decided to buy them and install them they bolted right in but I had to modify the harness for #6 by extending it I used about 3in of wire per wire on the harness. Issue #2 is the oil filler cap is too big now and I'm going to be buying a smaller aftermarket cap. I've had them on for about 30 miles no leaks or cel.

Would there still be a clearance issue if you were to shave off that tab on the lower plenum near the oil fill cap?

Did not see that but know I know I can also shave down the cap was thinking of shaving down the lower plenum.

Shaving the lower plenum would look cleaner than shaving the oil cap
Esp if you are planning on powder coating your upper n lower plenum
