vibration at 80 mph, comes and goes
yeah reading up on them in the last 30 mins or so i have heard the same.
I don't want to go solid though.
I daily my car and have yet to take it to a track (not sure if i ever plan to)

it sits back in there, and i think it dry rots and then oozes the goo out. i have never personally seen the ears blow out, just the subframe one
It doesn't matter, all of them will be changed out.
I think im going to swap the trans bushing as well
That sucks. This almost inspires no confidence to swap out the bushing...
I don't remember when the vibration started honestly. I've changed wheels/tires after and no difference. I'm assuming it's driveline, as Nissan put a trans in the car once under warranty, and I took it out for a clutch install later on down the road. So i'm guessing after one of those jobs the driveshaft got clocked wrong or something, or maybe it didn't like the aftermarket flywheel. It really only shows up past 80mph though so it's hard to troubleshoot.
well as in a previous post, at 30-35 i can feel a physical bouncing and also a vibration before 80. So swap out bushings, make sure the car doesnt rattle around, then trade it in.
Lol I just didn't worry about it, I don't spend a lot of time cruising above 80, and when I was racing a little vibration through the shifter wasn't really gonna get my attention. The low speed bouncing may be from the failed diff bushing, that I can't say. I started to notice increased wheel-hop on hard launches, found the bushing leaking, replaced it.
This is interesting.
My car only has 58k as an 06, but I may consider changing the rear diff bushings cause of the symptoms.
To reiterate. at and above 75mph (comes and goes) I get a vibration that almost makes the car feel less attached to the road. Disconnected so to speak.
It is frustrating and after storage this winter I think it will be first on the list. Keep us updated guys....

The mechanic that did my diff bushing. He said he did all he could to see if it was bad (read:shook the ish out if) and there was no play.
I had this problem on a Mustang. It turned out to be a bent or unbalanced drive shaft.
I replaced the drive shaft and u-joints and the problem disappeared.
While towing, was it on a dolly? Rear wheels on the ground? Did you ever remove the drive shaft in this car ?
