Has anyone ever seen paint do this?
It looks as if the paint is doing something underneath the clear coat. Clear coat is feels fine and it isn't the clear coat peeling. So not quite sure what's happening here.
That looks like some kind of contamination on or in the paint. Have you tried claying the paint before polish and wax/sealant? The paint does not look in good shape and being a fellow AX6 Z owner, this is not a known issue.
from the looks of it (no offense OP) he doesnt take care of his paint, so he might go too deep with compound if he is not familiar with it. i would try the vinegar first, but that is just me
Looks like hard water spots... try a polish/wax or something like Meguiars Ultimate Compound to see if it can remove it.

I've worked miracles with that ultimate compound stuff from Meguiar's, just by working it in with my hands. +1 on that, just be careful
Nissan paint isn't great at all. Learned that with my super black Z33
Seriously........................There is nothing wrong with Nissan paint. Properly maintained, it will last for years. Here is a recent picture of my Z and the paint is over 12 years old.

It's a little thin from the factory, could be thicker. I ended up doing a stage 2 detail + coated my Z. So far it's been religiously maintained for over a year now and looks AMAZING imo
It happened randomly and I take pretty great care of my car paint. Gets washed once a week usually occasionally once every two weeks. Ushually wax every three months or so. And clay bar twice a year. It rained for a week here and I noticed it after the rain. It almost seems as if water got under the clear coat or something but nothing moves when pushed on. It could be hard water spots I'll try out the viningear and compound ideas.
It looks like water spots/dirt from the rain that have "stained" the clear coat. If it is, it should be pretty easy to get out. I've had similar stains on my vehicles after a good rain and forgetting to wash for a few weeks.
Do you park under a tree of some sort that could be dropping acid (such as a pine tree)?
Stays parked in my Carport/Garage thing majority of the time if not then in an open parking lot at work with no trees near so I don't think it should be any sap or anything tree related.

Ditto.
Mine looks pretty good after 11+ years of ownership and many, many more miles than your great looking z KornerCarver.
It looks like hard water spots OP, maybe acid rain, it should be no problem to remedy.
Tried out the vinegar idea. No bueno. Also clay bar and wax did no help either. Its definitely underneath the clear coat some how yet the clear coat is perfectly fine.
