Default ABS VDC Off SLIP Light on after spiral cable replacement

Hey guys first post, been lurking everywhere for all the problems on my Z so far.

I had a flashing airbag light so I replaced the clock spring. It went away but now I have ABS VDC Off & SLIP lights all constantly on.

I had it reset with the scan tool but they said it wouldn't go away. He already tried resetting my steering wheel angle sensor but that didn't work.

It's giving these codes:
C1156 & C1109

Anyone have this problem or shoot where I should look?

Thanks

Did you check the fuse?

Did you get clock spring from a base Z or a one that has the same features as yours?

Kinda odd for that to happen all of a sudden after swapping out a part. Did you disconnect anything anywhere that you forgot to reconnect?

I disconnected my battery (both + & -) a lot to test the steering wheel angle sensor
Was hoping it was a fuse that got blown when i kept reconnecting the battery, but it's not.
Checked the VDC and ABS fuses next to the car battery but they look fine. My brake lights work.

Clock spring was from a Touring 03 and mine is a touring 05.

Does the clock spring have anything to do with worn brake pads? My previous clock spring didn't see anything wrong with my brake pads, but the guy who sold it to me said it could be brake pads

EDIT: Also checked my brake fluid levels and they're actually really high..above max is that okay?

From the 350Z Service Manual, the code definitions are:
C1156 - CAN communication or steering angle sensor.
C1109 - VDC/TCS/ABS Control Unit power voltage low.

I'm not sure why you got the C1109 code, but the the C1156 could be the result of reinstalling the steering wheel with the steering angle sensor out of place. The sensor may be indicating your are in a turn when in fact you are driving straight ahead. You will need to adjust the sensor's neutral position.

I know it's not the steering angle sensor because I had that reset.
Why are there 2 error codes for the same number?

I didn't go to the dealer I just went to a shop that had the scan tool. Should I just go to the dealer?

I'm not sure where the previous poster got his code definitions. Mine came from the 350Z Service Manual, and I verified them at the following online source:

I'm betting the shop had A scan tool, not THE scan tool. The proprietary Nissan Consult computer is what you need to re-program the ECU properly, so yeah, the dealer's your best bet.

Alright I will try that, wish me luck at the stealership. Anyone have recommendations in SoCal? All the ones near me on Yelp are 3.5 stars or lower
