Default Speedometer not working and convertible problems

Got a new to me but used 05 350z it is convertible and 2 big problems for now,

1. All my gauges light up as they should but none of the gauges move, my gas reads E, both speedometers don't move(even at start up), the only gauges that do move are my oil and battery gauge, otherwise everything sits still but lights up my brake light is always on as well.

2. The convertible module is fryed so i have to get a new one but any chance that this might be the issue of my speedo not working?

Could be an electrical short, not sure. I've never heard of anyone with a 350Z have a gauge cluster suddenly stop working in the manner you described. You can try double checking the electrical plug connection to the cluster. It's pretty easy to access once you remove a few panels. Was this convertible a victim of water damage? Check all the fuses.

Have you looked at the 350Z manual? Might want to find those PDF's and see if there's anything about the electrical system in there.

It's section IP in the manual.

Inspect the speed wire that plugs into the ECU. I don't know what color the wire is, but mine was purple and white. When I was installing my subs, i crushed the wire while trying to put my radio back in. Afterwards, my speedometer and odometer was not working. I inspected the wire and saw the crushed point in the wire. I cut it out and re-spliced the wire and was all good again

This convertible top "module." Are you referring to the motor underneath the rear glass window? Or something else? Because if it's the motor underneath the rear glass window, there's an excellent guide on this forum that shows you how to refurbish it; one that I followed and now my top works like new.
