Default Problems getting into gear, started by trying to reverse after a wrong turn.

Will be heading to check everything out underneath here in a week or so, but would at least like to see if anyone's got some wisdom. Left work (hard pull out, damn civic thought he was big and can't let that go unpunished) and everything was fine. Reversed out of spot, first second, first > 5th. Missed my turn diddling with the radio so I pulled in a caldesac and the car wouldn't go in reverse. Turned her off, started in gear and everything was dandy aside from her not going into gear AT ALL outside of the "Sweet spots," anyone whose ever driven anything without a clutch knows all about this.

Haven't taken her from the driveway, just did a few back and forth pulls to check everything out. Won't go in reverse unless she was started in gear. Won't go in other gears unless in the "Sweet spot" or unless I give the shifter a pretty-hard push. Something I don't feel comfortable doing, but will need to in order to get to the shop.

Something is most likely leaking. Front left wheel, about 4 inches behind where the wheel leaves the ground and a foot under the car was leaking. Didn't smell like anything I could identify. Clutch fluid LOOKS in good shape, but she only leaked on the way home and a little while after. An entire 24hrs and not another drop after everything cooled down. Tried pressing the clutch softly but thru a few times tonight to check for leaks and nothing. (Also, the clutch feels fine. Not the usual weird feeling when you didn't bleed the line right or you have air in the line from a leak.)

Brake fluid and everything else is exactly where it should be.

Must be that g'damn blinker fluid eh?

Any useful experience info would be nice. I don't mind getting her on the lift but every day she sits in the driveway hurts my soul. Thanks.

have you replaced the slave yet? you could have boiled the fluid, or the csc may finally be going out.

Nope, checking that was the plan. Had this link open late last night when looking but haven't gone into really anything more. Looked for about 5 minutes exhausted and went to sleep. Until the work week's over can't give it much more than thought.

I was thinking though, wouldn't the clutch feel at least a little different if it was one of the cylinders? That's why I'm confused, usually you'll lose clutch or it will at least give noticeable issues.

That wont work on yours, you have the internal. Get the zspeed one.

When mine went, the pedal got softer, and engagement point was lower, started sticking down

I could test out on a ride, but I'm afraid to hurt more than I'd help. From the drive home I didn't feel a difference in the clutch. I guess the CSC isn't a huge deal though to replace and it wouldn't hurt to get some fresh parts in anywa .

This one? I'm going to look when i have time, should be asleep now, but I'm not sure what I'd be able to do from just getting her on the lift. Will probably get ss lines and a new master too while I'm at it though. Hell there was even a good deal on a clutch I'd looked at. They usually go around this mileage anyway.

If you get the wilwood master and zspeed slave, it comes with all new braided lines

Alright thanks. I'm just a bit worried as my symptoms don't really match from what I've seen of those who needed those replaced. Will look around a bit.

Adjusted the clutch, it's a little better now. Can't find leak anywhere else, and the leak was just shitty water drainage from the A/C.

Since the clutch felt find I really didn't think I had a leak in the lines. Turns out I didn't, so I'll replace the clutch here soon and we'll see how that works.
