Help! Oem seat wont bolt in!
Hey everyone,
As the title suggests, my OEM driver's side seat will not bolt back in. The culprit? Well, it seems that upon further inspection the nuts that are on the underside of the floor pan (which make it possible to bolt down the seats to the body) have fallen off inside. This makes installing the seat an impossibility.
My question is to you fine folks is how do I remedy this situation?
If I may be honest with you, this issue has me extremely frustrated.

After some searching I found this thread with a almost identical issue as me.

Here he had to only re-weld new brackets/nuts. For me, I'd need to actually cut open the floor to retireve the old brackets/nuts.

You could do that, but then the washer would add a slight increase in height (which I wouldn't like already having head clearance issues). Even if I were to do that, there is still the issue or fishing the broken nuts out. I don't think the mounting nuts are large enough to pull them through the existing hole. If that is indeed the case I may need to enlarge the holes by cutting into the floorpan.

I made the thread you linked.....
I was able to get to the nuts with a dental tool. If you need a temporary bandaid, hold the nut in place with a dental tool while applying a couple drops of glue to hold the nut in place long enough to *carefuly* start the bolt by hand.
The glue is just so that you can start threading the bolt onto the nut. After that, they hold each other together until you can do a real repair.
^^this is just a temporary "fix". Get it fixed properly ASAP.
