Default 2 sets of aftermarket rear hatch struts create a large gap

2 sets of aftermarket rear hatch struts create a large gap at the roof to hatch interface . With the OEM gas struts the gap was small and even now with two different sets of after market rear hatch gas struts , there is now a large gap and the rear hatch is actually raised above the roof line. Anyone have this issue or have any knowledge of this issue.

Default rear hatch struts

I will give it a try , I installed both sets the larger stationary base of the strut at the top and the chrome sliding strut rod at bottom .

there is no point in making or reusing the gaskets....they are actually NOT gaskets. in the Nissan factory those little paper things are what hold the bolts so the worker can reach in a bin, grab a hatch shock and quickly install it and the two bolts are hanging on due to those paper bolt holders keep the bolts in place. its solely a factory aid so they dont have to fumble with the bolts. The bolts are held there and ready to install.
