Window Motor Dip
I am experiencing and issue with my driver side window not dipping when opening the door. The passenger door does do the dip.
I saw many posts about this issue and looked like it would be an easy fix. I started by trying to do the window motor reset procedure as seen on this website and this pdf
https://powerwin.com.au/mechanicscor...0Procedure.pdf
The motor in my driver side door did not have the reset button. I ordered a new oem motor to replace this. After getting the new motor in I tried doing the reset procedure but had no luck with the window dipping when opening the door.
While doing the motor swap I disconnected the battery.
I found online that this resets the window and you have to teach them up and down again. I did this procedure that you take the window all the way down and hold it for 3 seconds and then all the way back up and hold it for 3 seconds without using the auto function. After I performed this procedure the passenger door opening made the window dip again. This however did not work for the driver door.
I then followed the advice of people here https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85532-...ocedure-issue/ by looking at the "nipples" in the door jams. When I pressed the nipple in on the passenger side the window went down. When I did this on the driver side it did not. I then removed both nipple buttons from the car and swapped them. After swapping the issue did not change and the driver side still did not work while the passenger side did. The nipple button on the driver side appears to be functioning since the car registers the door being open or closed.
Also the passenger side window seems to only dip when the car is powered on, is this normal?
What is the next thing to look at to send the signal to the window motor to dip on door open? Did I miss something with the procedures I listed?
Thank you
