Window Rolls All The Way Up When The Door Is Closed
The driver's side window was not working right so I replaced the motor and regulator. The window works fine now, except that whenever the door is closed the window rolls all the way up. No matter how far open the window is rolled down, it rolls all the way back to fully closed right after the driver door is closed.
I have looked and looked for a fix to this and can't find it. Everyone says to perform the reset maneuver on the window, but I can't do that. The new window motor and regulator don't have the reset switch. I looked into that and new ones manufactured after a certain year no longer have the reset button, so I've done the alternate reset maneuver where you roll it down manually and hold for two seconds then do the same for up.
Even if it did have a reset switch, people with the same issue report that the reset did not fix it. Nissan wants to charge me $170 just to look at it, and their answer will probably be just to replace the motor and regulator with their overpriced ******** parts.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I'm all ears.

Run the window all the way up and release switch. Press and hold switch down 6 seconds after glass stops moving, press and hold switch up 6 seconds after glass is at top. Your window should now work correctly.
Check YT-350Z/G35 window relearn.

Sorry my reply is so late. The reset process I did before said to hold for two seconds, so I did your 6 second process several times and it didn't fix the issue either. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Just to be clear, do not use auto-up or down feature. Literally hold the switch with your finger 6 seconds after glass stops moving. You could do 10 seconds, consult the mfg or check YT 350Z/G35 window relearn.

Right. Don't use the auto up, just pull or press the switch halfway to do the manual window open and close. I have gone way past 6 seconds in my attempts but I will try again.
Edit: Oh, an interesting and maybe important bit of information is that this does not happen while the car is running. It only happens when the car is off. If the car is running, the window will stay in the same place when the driver's door is opened and closed, as it should.
