Fried ecm ?
I have a 350z that has some problems 😂. Seams like previous owners chopped the harness into the left vvt solenoid,maf-ait, and ac refrigerant sensor. Car had multiple codes. Chainging the maf sensor fixed 2 and made the car drivable. I got a code labled -sensor power source and managed to make it stop by disconnecting the refrigerant sensor. Now i am left with code p1136 and of-course thats the vvt soloniod left bank. The one that got cut. I bought a new soloniod hoping the electrical was out but I tested the old one and it seamed to work and i am getting voltage from the ecu. Voltage stays the same even when giving it throttle. Wiring seams ok ive cut the heat shrink and everything is soldered. Sooo my question is..yall think my ecu is fried or do i have a short some where im missing ? Car drives normal of course i dont want to drive it with improper oiling via the soloniod.

Welcome and you've got one helluva first post. From your description, there's no way to tell if the ECM in your Z is damaged or not. Since your bought this car with a hacked engine harness, I assume you got a good deal. Might be worth buying and installing an intact harness into the car and see if everything comes right. Your current ECM is still delivering diagnostic codes, so that seems to be a positive. What year and kind of mileage is on your Z?
