Around two months ago I did an oil change, and saw oil residue around the oil pan, and a hose located near the oil pan. I let it go for just a month and a half, but I did not drive it much at all in the last month due to being on vacation.
I came back around a week and a half ago, and got a quick glance from up top that the oil pan seemed to still have oil residue around the oil pan. I got under the car yesterday and got a closer look. Not sure where the oil residue could be coming from. Seems to be a decent amount right where the lower oil pan seals with the top. You can also see a decent amount of oil residue on a "vacuum" hose, not sure what this hose correlates to. Also, seems like you can see some oil residue coming from up top as well.
I took several photos a video showcasing areas where I found oil residue. What do you guys think should be my first step in diagnosing this issue? Any and all recommendations are welcome. Thanks! Seems like the front side of the oil pan has the most amount of oil residue. Hose seems to have oil residue around it, should I replace this hose? Maybe it isnt properly sealed. Slight oil residue on the right side, located higher up.

I merged the two threads on this same topic into one and placed it under the maintenance and repair thread. It would be helpful to know how many miles are on your Z? What's the year and model? Also, how much oil are you using?
Sounds good, brother. Thanks. Ill check back in when I can pinpoint an exact location. What's the safest and most effective way to clean the oil around these areas? Is brake cleaner good or is there something else you might recommend?
So, I've droven for around 100 miles and havent noticed any drip or oil coming from anywhere. Pretty odd.. going to continue to monitor it. The car runs good regardless. Except, when I got under the car today I noticed this specific line, in the photo attached below, to be loose again from its connection. Last time I got under the car, and shared those previous photos in the initial post, you can spot that some line to be loose that I just mentioned. I noticed it after I took photos, and tightened it up. Seems like when I drive it the line comes loose from its connection. Not sure what this lines purpose is, but since it was loose, it dripped a tiny bit of fluid.
Going to go ahead and replace this line, but could you guy's please identify what line this is. Thanks! See photos attached. This line was loose before I took this photo. Maybe it's the clamp or the hose that doesn't function anymore, but Im going to go ahead and change it out. The line then continues into the motor, the line on the right, which is the one shown in the first photo. Also seems to leak a bit at the clamp here. The line on the left next to that electrical connection is the one I need to change. Please help identify! A close look at the line.
The fluid was dark, with a very slight purple tint. Posting the original photo of what the line looked before I cleaned up the mess. This may be part of the problem. This is what the line looked like before I cleaned it up. As you can see, it wasnt fully connected. Connected it back up, but seems like it comes loose evertime I take it for a drive.
I think those lines run from your automatic transmission to the radiator/transmission cooler. I would check your transmission fluid level asap, preferably before driving any more, then new hoses and clamps or at minimum new screw type clamps.

That might be the case. The lines do seem to run from that radiator area back to around the transmission. Going to check my transmission level and replace the entire alongside with the clamps.
