Default Fuel pump prime noise, but no fuel pressure

Synopsis: Life got busy and car sat covered for a few years with low fuel (on E, fuel light on). Replaced battery, car fired right up. Let run for maybe 30 seconds. Disconnected battery to replace unrelated parts (clutch master/slave, tires, brakes, etc). Car started a couple more times in the process for less than a minute to test clutch and move around the drive way. Put 5 gal of fresh gas in (from can) and started with intention on its first trip out of the driveway in several years. Throttle was all over the place, sometimes not even registering pedal press. Rough idle and sputtering continued until it just cut off (2 min max). Because of P1225 code and lack of throttle control I assumed it was the Throttle Body and replaced. The old throttle body did not make any noise when key turned to off. New throttle body makes noise and visually moves as it should on key cut off. Did all the throttle learning and car still wont start. Suspected fuel issue since it happened immediately after adding new fuel , so I bought a Z1 fuel pressure port and gauge. Turn key on, fuel pump prime is audible, but no pressure shown on gauge. Fuel pump harness has good ground and 12v on key on. Disconnected fuel line and put on a 12in clear line emptying into a jar. Fuel come up line but only about half way, not enough power to make it to jar.

Any ideas from here, before I start looking at replacement pump? My ideas are 1) Fuel tank sediment clogging pump sock 2)Pump bad 3)New Depo headlights with improper LED marker bulbs causing issues with CAN system electronics.

I would like to do some more diagnostics before i pull the pump assembly. The round pump housing gasket is often a one time use thing especially if I drip fuel on it.

How many years did it sit and was it inside or out? I’ve had 2 cars now that sat outside (about 7 years each) with low fuel that developed rust in the empty part of the tank……..I’m thinking Tennessee is pretty humid, no?
